On January 26, the Lijiashan Tunnel on the Qusong section of the Quzhou–Lishui Railway, constructed by China Railway No.10 Engineering Group under CREC, was successfully broken through.
The Quzhou–Lishui Railway is a key transport corridor linking Quzhou and Lishui and enhancing transportation service capacity in southwestern Zhejiang. The Lijiashan Tunnel has a total length of 501 meters and a maximum overburden depth of 93 meters. The geological conditions at the tunnel site are complex, with the tunnel passing through fault fracture zones and a high proportion of Class V surrounding rock sections, requiring focused prevention of multiple risks during construction, including collapses, roof falls, water inrush, and hazardous rockfalls.
Upon completion, the Quzhou–Lishui Railway project will further improve the layout of Zhejiang Province’s railway network, enhance transportation infrastructure in southwestern Zhejiang, and play an important role in promoting regional economic and social development.
